America

America’s top-ranked institutions, flexible academic environment, cultural diversity and advanced technology make America the first choice. Vaibhav Gupta explains that America issues three types of visas for Indian students – J-1, M-1, and F-1. In this, J-1 visa is available to those students who want to study or do internship. Apart from this, the exchange program is also issued to Indian students studying in American universities. Students who want to pursue vocational education or training in American universities get the M-1 visa. Among the three categories of visas, the most popular is F-1 visa. This is available to those who study full time in America. On getting this visa, one can work for one year after studies. For this, it is necessary to enroll in a course of at least nine months.
Australia
Australia also comes at the top position among the most popular study destinations among international students. This country is very popular among the youth due to its education system, technological advancement, healthcare, infrastructure and other government services. Australia offers temporary visas to students. So that one can study here for six years and then work part time or full time.
France
France continues to be popular among international students wishing to study in fields like management, business, fashion and culinary. The number of Indian students coming to do post graduate courses is more as compared to undergraduate courses. Earlier, the French government used to give two years post graduate work visa to the students doing PG. Which has now been increased to five years. This type of visa is called talent passport.
United Kingdom (UK)
The immigration laws of the United Kingdom were earlier quite strict. But now the government is focusing on increasing work opportunities. UK provides two-year post study work visa to graduating students. For students with PhD or other doctoral degrees, its duration can be extended up to three years.
